In the past 2 months we added the ability to apply for our services on our website via an online form.
Due to a setup error with our service provider, those submissions were never received/ properly sent to our accounts. This error was discovered officially on December 19th, 2014 and was resolved the following day, December 20th, 2014.
Your privacy is of the utmost importance at SMIP and we want to assure you that:
- No personal information has been compromised or has fallen into the wrong hands.
- The issue has been resolved and the form has been retested to ensure that its functionality security and are sound.
As a result of this error, all those who have applied for assistance in the last 2 months via our online form will have to reapply for their memberships.
We sincerely apologize for this error and for the inconvenience this has caused and will ensure that this doesn’t happen again in the future.
